So, since our Summer Reading theme is "Read to the Rhythm," I decide it would be a good idea to do a Music and Movement themed, special storytime -- meaning, at a different time than my other two weekly storytimes. I got this idea from Miss Meg at Miss Meg's Storytime -- DO check out her Music and Movement storytime because she is AWESOME and has some great ideas! Thanks Miss Meg!

Overall, I had 10 participants in Music and Movement Storytime and it was a blast! They loved all the movement and dancing, and especially loves catching bubbles to music! Uptown Funk was definitely a favorite -- since they had all heard it on the radio before. I was also glad to see that the hokey pokey is still a fun dance to do, because all the kids were digging it!
Definitely let me know if you've done a music and movement program before! I would love to hear about what other librarians have done for this kind of program!
